We are currently looking for a Director to lead our Billing and Coding Departments. Our main office is on a park like campus located at our West Des Moines facility. The Director provides the insight as a business analyst and revenue manager. This team member may investigate return on investment, billable levels and providing insight into revenue in order to maximization cash flow and accounts receivables. These insights will help us to improving patient, physician and other customer relations.

The Director will focus 75% of work focus to:
Plans, builds and creates direction for coding, billing, data collection and data processing to ensure accurate and appropriate billing is processed.
Work towards creating an incentive program for an efficient account collection program.
Gathers and analyzes data to ensures that quality services are being billed according to established policies and procedures.
Identifies areas of improvement for patient optimization and proactive patient-centric solutions within our scope of practice.
Manages Supervisory staff and coaches on productivity and the development, interpretation, and implementation of budgets and long-range plan for the team.
Creates and manages innovative performance metrics to increase performance and identify trends.
Creates, manages and communicates dashboards of key performance indicators for the Admin team.
Evaluate the current processes to help identify and resolve billing and processing problems in a timely manner.
Establishes and implements a system for the collection of delinquent accounts ensuring third-party payers are contacted.
Works directly with the COO and CFO to help manage daily operations of the Business Office as well as monitors the business office function of each practice site.
A qualified candidate must:
Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Health related field with five or more years of job related experience, including three years of Management experience in a medical office.
Have prior experience in positive process improvement initiatives and outcomes.
Have the ability to supervise and review the work of others, including coach, provide feedback and accept (and use) feedback.
Must be able to interact with Physicians and higher level management personnel.
Familiarity with Medical Records administration and knowledge of clinic and physician/ patient protocols.
Understanding of medical billing processes, coding knowledge, as well as Red Flag Rules/HIPAA compliance.
Certified coding experience a plus.
