GENERAL SUMMARY :
Under supervision plans, organizes and performs CT procedures to apply x-ray energy and computer processing techniques to assist in physician diagnosis and treatment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Maintains proficiency with all CT equipment and procedures performed at the IHC
Performs daily quality control and safety procedures and maintains accurate records.
Administers patient care within the scope of practice for a CT/radiologic technologist.
Instructs and educates patient regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedure.
Maintains and completes all necessary paperwork and charting for the business office and medical records.
Keeps current with OSHA/IDPH regulations and updates.
Maintain and monitors supplies.
Maintains safe and clean workplace.
Attends required meetings and participates on committees as requested.
Operate required vehicle(s) in a safe manner to perform required duties of the position.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSAND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
Successful completion of anaccredited two year Radiologic Technology program.
Registry eligible orRegistered Radiologic Technologist
Maintains current IowaPermit to Practice
Maintains active registrystatus in ARRT
Participates in professional society (i.e., ISRT orSCD)
1 CEU per year in Radiation Safety/24 CEU’s every 2years
Basic Life Support (BLS) for theHealthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abusetraining specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
