PRAIRIE LAKES AEA Behavior Technician in Webster City, Iowa

QUALIFICATION

  • EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or another related field
  • LICENSURE: BOEE license preferred
  • EXPERIENCE:Ability to relate to student population being served

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with screenings and assessments of students without interpretation
  • Assist with data collection and documentation as directed
  • Model documented treatment plans developed by the Behavior Team
  • Plan activities that lead to student success on goals
  • Assist with clerical duties and department operations such as preparing materials and scheduling activities
  • Collect data for monitoring quality improvement
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to student record and information
  • Additional duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel between schools and sites served
  • Normal, routine levels of activity related to bending, carrying, climbing, hearing, lifting, reaching, sitting, standing, vision and walking, and may also involve above-average levels of activity at times that cant always be anticipated
