UnityPoint Health Medical Laboratory Technician in Waterloo, Iowa
The Medical Laboratory Technician position is responsible for performing laboratory tests and analyses in the hematology, blood bank, special chemistry, chemistry and microbiology departments in the laboratory.
The Medical Laboratory Technician performs routine laboratory testing, laboratory specimen collection and is responsible for quality control and regular maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Team member must present record of certification to the Laboratory Director within 1 year of employment and/or within 90 days of expiration of MLT/CLA-ASCP certification. (non regulatory)
Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Must possess basic computer skills and knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email and web browser.
Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
