Pella Regional Health Center Health Information Tech - Record Analyst in Pella, Iowa

Under the direction of the HIM Manager, processes encounters after discharge for completeness and adherence to required standards and guidelines. Scans and/or uploads documents into the electronic medical record system. Coordinates patient portal inquires and patient set-up. Will provide excellent customer service to customers and PRHC staff. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • One or more years of medical record experience or certification in health information or related field, preferred.

  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English

  • Strong written, oral, and positive communication skills.

  • Strong computer knowledge with keyboarding, data entry and office machines; attention to detail.

  • Ability to understand and carry out detailed directions with independence.

  • Must demonstrate strong work ethic and responsibility.

  • Must be willing to take initiative and complete duties other than those specifically assigned in order to meet the needs of the department.

  • Must demonstrate ability to multi-task and handle a busy workload.
