Job Summary

This position in the Lab consistently provides accurate and timely clinical diagnostic information to health care professionals for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease processes. Our lab performs a wide variety of laboratory tests utilizing state of the art technology. This position with Clarke County Hospital requires MLT or MT/MLS degree from an accredited program with ASCP, NCA or equivalent certification. Applicant must be able to work effectively under stress and time constraints. Must be able to interpret, apply, analyze, synthesize and evaluate information. Must be able to recognize and solve problems. Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively with patients, staff and physicians. New grads are encouraged to apply.

This position is 40 hours per week. Shift will be 2pm - 10:30 pm. It will include every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation.

This position is available for every third weekend Saturday & Sunday 9:30 am - 6 pm, every third week Monday & Friday 1 pm - 9:30 pm. As needed.


Minimum Requirements

Preferred or Specialized

Not required to perform the essential functions of the position.


MLT or MT degree from an accredited school, ASCP, NCA, or equivalent certification


2 years of general clinical laboratory experience, preferred.


MLT or MT/MLS degree from an accredited program with ASCP, NCA or equivalent certification within 1 year of employment.

CPR certification within 1 year of employment.

Valid driver?s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.


Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
