Job Summary:
Clarke County Hospital is a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, located in Osceola, Iowa. It is affiliated with UnityPoint Health System. Clarke County Hospital has a creative and flexible opportunity for Advanced Care Providers who are interested in working in the Rural Health Clinic and Hospital.
We are seeking a Full Time Advanced Care Provider: ARNP or PA-C
This position will include coverage for the Primary Care, Walk-In Clinic, and as a Hospitalist for daily rounds on our Medical/Surgical department.
The average acute daily census is between 4-10 patients. Skilled patients are also seen per Medicare guideline, and that average daily census is between 4-6 patients.
The Walk-In clinic is embedded in the Clarke County Family Practice Clinic. Hours of operation are 7AM to 7PM Monday through Friday, and 9AM to 5PM on Saturdays and Sundays. During the day, the walk-in clinic functions along with the Family Medicine Clinic. Walk-in level of acuity can be expected with an average of 15 patients per shifts.
Shifts will include a mixture of 8 hour, 10 hour, and 12 hour shifts. It will also include weekend and holiday rotation.
Candidates need to have a minimum of 1-2 years? experience as Hospitalist and Clinic experience.
Minimum Requirements

Education:
Certified Physician?s Assistant (P.A.-C) or
Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or
Doctoral Nurse Practitioner (DNP).
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
Certification in specialty areas or demonstrate active progress toward attainment of certification.
Current licensure as P.A.-C in state of Iowa
Current licensure as RN and ARNP in state of Iowa
Preferred education and certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)
Education in management and care of chronic and acute wounds and ostomy care.
Experience:
- Experience in management and care of chronic and acute wounds and ostomy care.
Minimum of 1-2 years? experience as Hospitalist and Clinic experience.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid driver?s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Current, active, and unrestricted Physician?s Assistant Board Certification.
Current, active, and unrestricted RN and ARNP license in the State of Iowa with appropriate certifications as necessary by licensing boards.
Current prescriptive authority in the State of Iowa including DEA Registration.
Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
Effectively deal with diverse client population and community partners
