The EHS Professional will support assigned facilities to remain in compliance with Federal, State, Local and Cargill EHS requirements and strategies. The EHS professional will train and mentor facility leadership on EHS principles and will partner with teams to conduct incident investigations and to ensure learning from these events is accomplished across the organization. The EHS professional will champion change initiatives and utilize systems to measure outcomes. The EHS professional will partner with Cargill stakeholders in the pursuit of continuous improvement including in the implementation of implement ergonomic improvements.
30% Support, develop and challenge peer supervisory team to maintain and improve EHS Management Systems to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local and Cargill Health and Safety Requirements.
20% Partner with site leadership and stakeholders to champion Cargill’s zero harm culture through processes such as behavior based safety, human factors, near miss reporting, root cause analysis and other key elements of the safety management system.
15% Complete analysis of incidents and observations and participate in annual and long term planning for Health and Safety.
15% Fulfill the requirements of Cargills Ergonomic Program by analyzing, prioritizing, and improving the Human Factor/Ergonomics
at the plant level.
10% Contribute to initial and ongoing EHS training processes to the ZERO injury culture from day one with all Cargill stakeholders.
5% Develop relationships with medical care providers and insurance providers to ensure prompt, reasonable and necessary care of injured workers.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree, four-year technical degree or 5 years of EHS experience
Regulatory knowledge of Federal standards
Computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and web based software programs, verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in EHS or engineering, or ASP or CSP credentials
Knowledge of industrial ergonomics
Knowledge of environmental regulations and industry practices
Experience mentoring supervisory teams
