Nurse Aide Skills State Testing Evaluator

Basic Function: The evaluation of candidates' skills during the state nurse aide competency examination process.

Salary and Benefits: Hourly wage for this position is $27.25. Retirement benefits as provided by Social Security and IPERS or TIAA.

  • Objective evaluation of nurse aid candidates completing the state skills competency examination.Supervision of the testing process and environment.Ensuring professionalism and confidentiality of all involved in the testing process.Ensuring all necessary equipment is available in operational condition.Maintain an environment of "standardized testing".Maintaining a neutral relationship with each candidate.Accurate scoring and record keeping.Maintaining security of all evaluation materials.Oversight of the setting up and cleanup of the testing setting.Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.NIACC Core Principles: All employees are expected to adhere to all NIACC policies and procedures. Qualifications: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa. Must have at least one year's experience as an RN in providing care of the elderly or the chronically ill. Ability to work flexible hours as the position includes day and evening hours.
