Trinity Health Clinical Nurse Manager - Acute Rehab and Skilled Nursing - Full Time - Day Shift in Mason City, Iowa

Description:

Position Purpose:

Provides leadership for the skilled and acute rehabilitation units in the planning, directing, and evaluating of nursing care for rehabilitative patients. Participate in and direct interdisciplinary team communication for patient care. Promotes quality patient care and customer satisfaction through process improvement initiatives, stewardship, service, quality, staff development/education, and enhanced communication.

What you will Do:

  • Develops, implements and periodically reviews department/organization policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services complying with Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa policies and regulatory agencies and standards.

  • Reveiws and ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines for long term care including regulatory survey and development and implementation of correction plans as needed.

  • Develops and maintains departmental staffing plan detailing appropriate associate classifications and qualifications consistent with the department's operational plan, projected volumes, and other relevant indicators. Participates in annual human resource planning process, providing recommendations for staffing proactive recruitment and long-term needs. Assures daily staffing adheres to plan.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education [formal]:

  • BSN required or willing to obtain in 5 years

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa Experience: Previous experience and expertise desirable in supervisory capacity; i.e., team leading, charge position.Previous clinical experience. Minimum of four years required.
