Job Description

Come join our team serving the veterans that have served for us!

Screen, assess, and treat residents in speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders utilizing best available practice, including the appropriate frequency and intensity of treatment.

Advocates for the most advanced diet tolerated to promote quality of life for the residents at IVH.

Works collaboratively with clinical dietitians, nursing clinicians, medical providers and other health professionals in the delivery of services.

CCC-SLP required

* All applicants are subject to a Criminal Background Check, Dependent Adult Abuse and Child Abuse Check

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Licensure as a Speech Pathologist by the Iowa Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology Examiners and experience equal to eighteen months of full-time work as a Speech/Language Pathologist;

OR

possession of a Temporary Clinical License or a permit as issued by the Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology Examiners may be substituted for the above licensure requirement.

Additional Qualification Requirements

At the time of interview, applicants referred to Glenwood and Woodward State Hospital-Schools will be assessed to determine if they meet federal government employment requirements as published in the Federal Register, Section 20-CFR-405.1101.
