IKM-Manning CSD is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-time School Nurse to join our team. The School Nurse will play a crucial role in providing healthcare services to students, promoting health education, and ensuring a safe and healthy school environment.
Duties:
Provide direct healthcare services to students and staff members
Assess and treat injuries and illnesses within the school setting
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Maintain accurate medical records for all students
Monitor immunizations, manage communicable diseases, and conduct health screenings
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to promote student well-being
Educate students on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices
Skills:
Proficient in patient care and basic life support techniques
Experience in medical documentation and maintaining medical records
Ability to administer injections and perform venipuncture
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a school environment with diverse populations
