RESEARCH INTERNRequisition # 159Position BasicsAdvertising Ends on:Extended Until Position is FilledAdvertising Started on:Thursday, June 1st, 2017College:Carver College of MedicineDepartment:Anatomy & Cell BiologySalarySalary:$28,550.00 - $30,000.00Position DetailsFull/Part Time Status:Full TimePercent Time:100%Position Description:TThe purpose of the position is to conduct research in a developmental research laboratory investigating the molecular and cellular mechanisms that regulate morphogenesis during developmentDuties include: Maintaining zebrafish fish stocks and performing genotyping; performing experiments using genetic, genomic, cellular, biochemical and in vivo imaging techniques in zebrafish embryos; keeping detailed written and organized records of experimental design, protocols, computer data analysis and raw data; and, maintaining laboratory and experimental records.Education Requirement:Requires a Bachelor's degree in a biomedical related science or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience in a molecular and cell biology related field.Required Qualifications:Familiarity with basic cell and molecular biology techniques such as DNA plasmid preparation, and PCR.Strong interpersonal skills with a strong work ethic are required.
