A highly motivated postdoctoral scholar will work on NIH-funded research projects to study the neurobiology of serotonin systems in stress, cognition and motivated behavior relating to psychiatric disorders. To accomplish this, a combination of cutting-edge tools will be employed, including in vivo Cre-loxP technology, optogenetics and chemogenetics, in vivo calcium imaging, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, biochemistry and molecular biology.
