The Department of Pathology is recruiting for a Postdoc Research Scholar for the Li Research Lab. The Li lab studies how FABPs regulate cell metabolism and intracellular signal transduction pathways in leukocytes, and determines the mechanisms by which FABPs link high fat diets, metabolism and complex diseases (Cell, 2020; 182:1066, Cell metabolism; 2018;28:689). This position will help with NIH-funded projects on the role of fatty acid binding proteins in obesity, chronic inflammation, and tumor development.

Education Requirement:

PhD in Immunology or related field of science

Required Qualifications:

  • At least two years of related research experience.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise inmouse models, cellular and molecular immunology, flow cytometry, real-time PCR, Western blot, and other common skills in cell biology and molecular biology.
  • Special consideration will be given to candidates who will work independently with enthusiasm and self-motivation, and ability to solve problems that may arise during experiments.
