Our laboratory is interested in the molecular mechanisms of alcohol-induced promotion of breast cancer. By using genetically modified animal models (Wnt and Neu transgenic mice) and in vitro approaches, we aim to reveal how alcohol affect intracellular signaling pathways that regulate the tumorigenesis and malignancy. We are also interested in how alcohol exposure affects the development of mammary glands and makes it more susceptible to the exposure of carcinogens. Applicants should have a strong background in molecular biology and biochemistry, as well as experience in animal models and cell signaling.
