Using genetic and pharmacological tools to modulate ceramide accumulation less thanem>in vivoless than/em> combined with unbiased approaches we have to identified a downstream effector molecule of ceramide, that bestows ceramides some of these functions. We are currently seeking a postdoctoral candidate with background in biomedical sciences to investigate the role of this newly identified protein in development of metabolic diseases. We anticipate the start date to be 07/01/2020 or later. Successful applicants will be generously offered with NIH guideline-based salary and benefits and will be part of diabetes research community at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics and affiliated Fraternal order of diabetes research institute.
