The lab uses a combination of molecular and biochemical techniques that includes in vitro transcription, genome editing with CRISPR, RNA-Seq, PRO-Seq and novel bioinformatics analyses. We are especially interested in the RNA polymerase II elongation control, the role of promoter proximal pausing, and the interplay of transcription and chromatin structure.Education Requirement:Interested applicants must have (or soon expect to have) a Ph.D. in a field that involves molecular and biochemical training. All PhD requirements must be met by the start date of employment.Required Qualifications:Candidates must have successfully performed complex biochemical and molecular analyses. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. A strong publication and presentation record is expected.Desirable Qualifications:Experience with generation and analysis of transcription data is desired.
