The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine is accepting applications for a fulltime or part-time faculty member in our Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division. This position will be either a tenure track or clinical track faculty position based on qualifications and academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities will include participation in the clinical and educational activities of the division including our fellowship. Applicants must be committed to medical student, resident, and fellow education and clinical care of patients (including obstetrical ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, genetics and telemedicine) in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and our off-site outreach clinics. Skills in obstetrical ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, and genetics are required.Clinical or laboratory research is required for the tenure track.

Education Requirement:

Successful applicants must possess an M.D. degree or equivalent and have completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology and fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

Required Qualifications:

Required qualifications include excellent clinical skills including patient management skills, strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrated team behavior. Skills in obstetrical ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, and genetics are required. The candidate must be willing to share on-call responsibilities and be willing and able to commute to our off-site outreach locations. The applicant must have a proven track record of teaching. Clinical or laboratory research is required for the tenure track.

Certifications:

Applicants are required to be American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology active candidates or board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology active candidates or Subspecialty Board Certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
