Aerotek Safety Director in Grimes, Iowa

Description:

Lead the development and implementation of safety training programs, including but not limited to OSHA safety programs and job site audits

Conduct OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour safety training in open classes and in-house sessions for members as needed

First Aid/CPR instructor for member companies

Communicate new OSHA focuses, regulations, etc.

Promote and assist members in becoming STEP participants

Maintain and update the Safety Resource Manual, job site posters, first aid kits and other safety materials offered

Attend all Safety Council and Board of Directors meetings

Implement policies set forth by the Board of Directors and Safety Council

Establish a positive working relationship with regulatory agencies and construction organizations

Represent member companies in informal settlement negotiations

Assist in the development of the annual budget for the Safety Department

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

3 years of true construction safety experience OR safety degree with 1 years of construction safety experience OR OSHA 10 Hour Instructors

Valid Driver's License

Computer skills - use projector for presentations in PowerPoint and Outlook
