EDD01292- Senior Reliability Engineer

Position Purpose

The Senior Reliability Engineer position is responsible for being a key leader on the Maintenance and Reliability management team. This position will work with the Reliability team to drive the improvement of plant reliability and championing the defect elimination process. The Senior Reliability Engineer will apply knowledge and experience to ensure continuous improvement to optimize the company’s physical assets and Maintenance and Reliability processes and strategies. The candidate will be directly involved in the continued implementation and leadership of a progressive and integrated Reliability Centered Maintenance and Equipment Reliability Improvement process in a large, multiple product processing facility.

Principal Accountabilities

30% Lead and develop the Reliability Engineering Team and the site. Ensuring that RE talent is built, developed and maintained at the site in conjunction with the M&R TL and regional PDG organization.

30% Support the site M&R Team Lead and Process Team Leads through prioritization of Reliability Excellence activities for the site. Identify and prioritize RE value creation opportunities for the site and BU. Owns the Bad Actor identification, quantification and elimination process for the site in conjunction with the region.

15% Champion of site and region asset health improvement and production process stability. Drives consistent application of RCMs / RCAs and ensures consistent follow up. Participates on regional asset health improvement processes and leads regional asset health initiatives.

10% Write and execute M&R Capital projects. Creates Reliability Standards / CMOs. Interfaces directly with the project engineering team on reliability build deliverables to ensue reliability principles are applied on projects on site.

10% Lead Reliability Excellence activities and initiatives. Conducts RE sustainability assessments and follow up actions. Share / implement RE best practices across the site and region.

5% Any other duties as assigned.


Education, Experience, Skills/ Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biosystems Engineering orother engineering discipline that has a strong foundation in thermodynamics,fluid mechanics, mass/material balance and process design.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in production, maintenance, or projectmanagement.

  • Minimum of 5 years direct or indirect supervisor experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.

  • Training and knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies(vibration, analysis, tribology, etc.)

  • Training and knowledge of management of the proactive maintenance model.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement detailed solutions tocomplex technical problems.

  • Demonstrated execution capacity.

  • Ability to adapt and learn in a changing work environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Microsoft Office Suite experience.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to promote and work within an inclusive environment.

  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written within multiple levels of the organization and with customers.

  • Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of food safety, safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations.

  • Ability to travel as needed.
