Trinity Health Unit Secretary / Monitor Technician - Cardiovascular - Part Time - Nights - 48 hrs/pp in Dubuque, Iowa
Under limited supervision performs clerical and receptionist duties and observes the cardiac monitors within a specific nursing unit (see attached Scope of Service). Transcribes physician orders and performs computer activities. Assists in implementing the philosophy, objectives, standards of care, policies, and procedures of the department and Mercy Health Center. Customers include: patients, family/visitors, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, intradepartmental and interdepartmental staff, vendors and volunteers.
High School graduate or equivalent. Arrhythmia monitoring course and CPR certification preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Prefer certified nursing assistant (75 hour). Computer experience desired. Previous clerical experience desired. Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
