What’s the Organizational Development Team?Our Human Resources division integrates everything from the recruiting process, employee engagement and development, culture & inclusion, and employee benefits. The Organizational Development team’s focus is employee engagement as it relates to learning and development. You will have the opportunity to be involved with several of Wellmark’s learning and development efforts including instructor-led training, online course development, podcasts, handout, conference-style events and 1:1 development sessions. You will meet many individuals across HR and the organization to develop an understanding of a variety of roles and skills as well as work with subject matter experts.

What projects might I support? As an Organizational Development intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects such as:

  • Collaborate with team members to develop, plan and implement, report and measure learning and development opportunities

  • Create, edit and post podcast episodes

  • Motivate and drive participation among your intern peers to engage fully with opportunities available throughout the summer

  • Develop and edit Intranet content to support internal communication efforts

  • Generate innovative solutions for providing new and existing development opportunities for our workforce

Minimum Qualifications Required (all must be met to be considered)

  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Organizational Management/Leadership/Development, Human Resources, Communications or related program

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Ability to build relationships and influence others

  • Ability to articulate and demonstrate the value of diversity and inclusion

  • Knowledge and experience using Adobe Suite, including Audition and Premiere

  • Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

  • Strong attention to organization, accuracy and details

  • Ability to work independently

Hiring Specifications Preferred

  • HR or Organizational Leadership/Development degree

  • Previous internship or experience in an office environment

  • Photography experience with digital formats and Adobe Photoshop

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
