Adjunct Instructor, EDUC 108/208: Student Development and Learning Theory
The Drake University Teaching and Learning Department invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor for the Fall 2021 semester . The instructor will be responsible for teaching a three-credit section of an undergraduate/graduate course titled: EDUC 108/208 : Student Development and Learning Theory (the sections of these courses are cross-listed for both undergraduate and graduate students) that meets on Mondays, 5:30–8:20 pm each week of the Fall 2021 semester (with the potential to teach the course again in Spring 2022) . This course is designed to instruct pre-service teachers in human development and educational psychology and is expected to emphasize practical instruction and learning for the students.
The instructor will be responsible for classroom instruction, facilitating course activities and projects, and assessing and grading all related coursework.
The ideal candidate will have specific master’s or doctoral training in educational psychology, though advanced doctoral students or doctor’s degree-holders with experience teaching educational psychology are also welcome to apply.
