Job Summary:

Provides oversight and management for the MercyOne Provider Network Directory. Assists with aligning MercyOne Provider Network Standards and NCQA requirements. Serves as a liaison between PHSO administration, Chapters, Medical Staff Offices, employment offices, and MercyOne Partnered Provider organizations and their clinicians.

Essential Position Expectations:

  • Provider Network Directory

  • Serves as the key resource to implement and maintain an accurate, NCQA-compliant Provider Network Directory.

  • Develops and maintains intake/assessment forms to gather key information to support the Provider Network Directory.

  • Coordinates with Medical Staff Offices, Physician Recruitment and Employment, and Clinic Managers to obtain all required information.

  • Governance Support

  • Supports maintenance of and participation in monthly Provider Network Council meetings and related governance structures.

  • Assists with Provider Network Council agenda creation, presentation of materials, and taking of minutes.

  • Assists with Provider Network report-outs to the Provider Network Council and PHSO Board of Managers.

  • Network Communications & Contracting

  • Assists with development of PHSO Newsletter content.

  • Assists in the management of PHSO Participant Agreements and Network Contracting.

  • Assists in the recruitment of new Partnered Provider organizations and clinicians.

  • Member Inquiries

  • In collaboration with compliance, assists in the investigation and response to member inquiries related to the Provider Network and Directory.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience in PHSOs or ACOs and knowledge of value-based payment structures is preferred.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications required.

  • Strong demonstrated verbal communication and critical thinking skills required.

  • Demonstrated presentation skills.

  • Excellent verbal and writing skills required, as well as excellent planning and negotiating skills.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability in policy development.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in credentialing software and enrollment reports.





Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. In lieu of educational requirements previous work history and years of experience may be considered.

Experience: Minimum of one year of experience with a healthcare system, health plan or healthcare accrediting body. Prior experience in provider network management preferred.
