Job Description

The Civil Commitment Unit for Sexual Offenders in Cherokee, Iowa, has an opening for a Full-time LPN. The salary range is $47,736.00 to $72,508.80 annually. This position requires the LPN to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift. This position does have an excellent benefit package. You must be in good standing with the Iowa Board of Nursing and have an unencumbered LPN License.

Duties include:

Provides general nursing care to a specific high-risk population. This includes direct acute and chronic nursing care, health promotion, disease prevention and health education strategies across the lifespan. Duties will also include treatment of patients through therapeutic activities, providing psychological support and direction, escorting patients, accurate documentation of patient's behaviors and attitudes.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Iowa Board of Nursing or licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrator's Agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
