Education:Valid, current State of Iowa Permit to Practice and American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification or registry eligible.
Experience: Graduate ARRT approved School.
Duties Include: General X-Ray, will Cross-Training in CT. Computer Skills. Excellent Customer Service.
Position Summary:Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs(x-rays) of the human body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Radiologist. Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors. Explains procedure to patient to reduce anxiety and obtain patient cooperation. Monitors accessory equipment and assist the physician special radiographic procedures. Perform the described duties in the primary work area and demonstrate competency in orthopedic radiology, pediatric radiology, trauma radiology, and out-patient diagnostic radiology. In addition to meting competency requirements for work in more than one primary work area must serve as a super user for various radiology initiatives.
