Charge Nurse - RN/LPN - 2nd Shift, Full-Time / Part-Time

Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing:

  • Supervises nursing team members who provide direct resident care

  • Communicates with all healthcare providers and partners

  • Coordinates and implements nursing care as ordered by the physician and agreed to by the resident

  • Documents resident status / care / services in a timely, accurate, and comprehensive manner

  • Responsible for the provision of nursing services within the scope of licensure and in compliance with current standards of practice and corporate/care center policies and procedures

  • Follows the plan of care and ensures the overall health and well-being of each resident

    Qualifications / Requirements

  • Must have an unrestricted and active Iowa (or compact state) RN or LPN license

  • Experience in skilled nursing / long-term care (LTC) preferred

  • Knowledge and understanding of federal and state nursing facility rules and regulations, including licensing, OSHA, CDC, and Public Safety

  • If licensed as an LPN, the Iowa Board of Nursing requires the completion of a Board-approved supervision course within six (6) months of working in a charge / supervisory capacity

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language

  • Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable

Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time

Shift: 2nd Shift (2p-10p), Flexible Scheduling

Weekend Package Option: Yes

Wage Range*: $30.00/hr-$37.00/hr, Negotiable (DOE)

Base Wage: $30.00/hr (RN) and $25.00/hr (LPN), Negotiable (DOE)

Years of Experience Incentive Pay: $0.20/per year, up to ten (10) years

2nd Shift Differential: $5.00/hr
