Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of World Languages and Cultures at Iowa State University invites applications for a lecturer in Italian to teach one course in the area of beginning Italian language.

The individual selected for this position will be a motivated instructor with a broad knowledge of the subject matter and the flexibility to adapt to the needs of the Italian program.

Required Education and Experience

Master’s degree

Native or near-native fluency in English and Italian.

Previous teaching experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

Master’s degree in Italian, area studies, or related field.

Demonstrated experience teaching Italian language.

Demonstrated experience developing beginning language courses.
